Grounding meditation with clay

no experience necessary. open to all ages. this is a one hour workshop. available for 2-50 participants per session. workshop can be held in any environment.

This workshop is process based.

Clay is a wonderfully grounding medium. This workshop is best facilitated sitting on the ground under a tree or on the beach. participants sit in a circle. you will learn the art of making pinch pots. This is an ancient technique that allows the creator to be intimate with the clay. creating only with your hands you will feel the texture and topography of the clay, leaving your marks as your fingers repetitively pinch your clay in to form. i encourage participants to visualise a safe nestlike or womblike space. a safe space or a vessel to receive your negative energy, allowing it to absorb in to the clay. participants make up to 10 pinch pots each, decorating them with objects from nature. the pinch pots are then arranged in a natural environment and photographed. If desired you can take your pinch pots home and arrange them in your own garden and watch as they break down with the elements and return to the earth completing a circle.
